"New" Swing Set

A sweet family in our church had outgrown their swing set and were so kind to pass it along to our kids! Case and Sadie were SO excited to have a swing set in their own back yard and I have loved all the fresh air they are getting!

 Lincoln will happily swing in the baby swing and watch them play for hours!

Halloween

Matt and I were away from the kids again this year for Halloween. It's such a bummer to miss seeing them trick or treat and hand out candy. Before we left on our trip we had the kids dress up in their Halloween costumes and we carved pumpkins together!

Last Soccer Game

We had a really fun season of soccer games! Case loved it and especially enjoyed playing with his buddy, Isaac. Brooke and Hannah were here visiting for his last soccer game and our neighbor, Darrel, came as well. Case was so excited to have an audience just for him! He scored 2 goals and my sister got some great shots of him playing.

 
   

 

 

 

 

Lego Birthday!

Case turns 5 tomorrow! I can't quite believe it, but we had a wonderful time celebrating last Friday! Case has played Legos, Legos and more Legos for the past month or so... So, we decided a Lego Birthday Party was the perfect theme to celebrate this milestone! I had so much fun planning this party and making a few things for it, Case was able to help make quite a few things which made planning for the party extra fun for me! Here's some pictures from his party...

 

Lego head marshmallow pops - these were incredibly easy and fun to make. Case was even able to help!

I also drew Lego faces on all of the yellow plates, Case wanted the pirate one!

 Matty was in charge of this and made Case's name out of Legos, I love the way it turned out!

 Here are the Lego cookies Case and I made together as well as juice boxes for the kids!

I made a Lego garland and it turned out to be my favorite! It was so easy with a circle punch.

 And of course, we can't have a birthday without the bounce house - constant entertainment!

made these amazing Lego cakes which everyone, especially Case, LOVED!

 We ended up having 17 boys and 2 girls at our house, plus all of the parents! It turned out we needed a little bit more than just the bounce house for entertainment so we pulled out the Legos!

 We also played pin the head on the Lego guy which was big hit!

It's so nice when artistic people share what they make! 

Case and I made Lego guy color crayons from old crayons and a candy mold! We also made some Lego guy candies and a few other things for the goody bags!

 It was such a fun night - the kids all played great and had so much fun together!

 

 

 

 

Soccer

We decided to put Case into Soccer this fall and Saturday was his first game! This is Case's first sport and he gets to play it with his buddy Isaac. Case was so excited for his game and to wear his new soccer gear. Before his game, I wanted to take a picture of him. Normally when I want to take a picture of him, he says "cheeeeeeeese" for about 45 seconds and then asks to be done. On this day, he did all of these poses by himeself. I honestly just stood behind the camera, completely silent and just kept snapping pictures. He didn't say anything either, just kept trying different poses. By the time he got to his "tough" pose, I was just desperately trying not to laugh!

 When we showed up at the field, they did a half hour of practice and then it was time for the game!

 It was 97 degrees out and his game was at 2pm, it was sooooo hot! So the cute little spectators were a little out of it!

Case even scored a goal! It was really fun to see him run and high five Matt afterwards! I didn't get a picture of it since I was trying to keep all the little ones hydrated, but it was really fun to watch him play!

Sweet Dreams

This is how Sadie has been sleeping lately. When we lay her down she says, "I need all of my things!"

Preschool!

Today was Case's first day back to preschool! He was very excited to go back to school and had no problems with being in a different class with a different teacher.

Today was also Sadie's first day of preschool! She was quite unsure about going to preschool... she ranged from not wanting to go, to asking if I could go with her, to saying 'okaaaaaay, I guess I'll go'

She was not up for having her picture taken so this is what we got...

 At school and Sadie was still not up for having her picture taken...

 So we went to the hug pose!

 which was such a blessing because I ended up getting this pic which is probably my favorite picture of the two of them ever!

 and they headed in!

Case was such a great big brother all morning. At breakfast he was telling her how much fun it was going to be, he showed her how to wear her back pack and led the way! It was a great day, they both did great and had a blast. When I picked them up, they chattered on and on about what they got to do! And Sadie kept telling me all about all of her new friends!
