Glimpse at the Gimotty's

While Matt and I were waiting to close on our house, we had the opportunity to live with a great family in our church, the Gimotty's. We had such a great couple of months with them! We enjoyed meals together, playing in the pool, birthday celebrations, going out for ice cream and so much more with this sweet family! We can not be more grateful for how they served us during this time and loved on our kids.
Our first night in Kansas, we went to Toy Story 3 on ice with the Gimotty's and a couple other families. They even had a buzz costume for Case to wear!
A couple of their kids dressed up as well! (It's not the best photo since it was taken with our iphone)

Case LOVED every second of the show. Whenever a character went behind the curtain he would say, "Where's Woody?!" When Lotso Bear came out, he was very concerned why he didn't have his truck! It was really fun, and nice to spend some time with Case after all of the packing and moving.

Case waited patiently (and sometimes, not so patiently) for the kids to be done with school each day so he could play with them! This is when they built a truck out of lego's for him to ride around on - just like Lotso Bear's truck!
The girls were amazing with Sadie! They played with her everyday, sang to her, carried her around (her favorite thing in the world) and even helped teach her to walk. Here are all the girls in their matching dresses (not even planned, we all had them before we knew each other) :)

We are so grateful for this friendship and look forward to many more memories with "the kids" (as Case calls their family)!

First few days in Kansas...

It's hard to believe we have been here in Kansas for almost three months! We have had a great couple of months spending time with the people of PCC (our new church!). We are already loving this body of believers and feel so blessed this is where God has called us to serve.
It's been great to explore Kansas and we've already had the opportunity to do some really fun things in the area.

One of our first days here we headed into downtown KC for some more fun with the kids! First, we went to eat at a train restaurant called Fritz's. The trains actually drive around and drop your food off at your table - needless to say, Case thought it was amazing. Sadie loved it too since it was her first taste of french fries!

Then we headed over to a Cars 2 exhibit! There was a life size Mater, Lightening McQueen and some other car from the second movie. There were also some games set up. A lot of them were a little over Case's head since you had to read, but he LOVED this bouncy obstacle course!
And this is what Sadie did all day :)

We also had a family outing at a local Farmstead. It was a pretty chilly day so we were one of only a few people there, but the weather didn't stop Case from having a blast!
Here he is with the goats. If you ask Case what any goat's name is, he'll say "Gokie!" We have no idea where it came from. He'll say it's a goat, but that it's name is "Gokie", so here he is with a bunch of baby gokies!
There was also a building that had some calves and a station where you can "milk a cow".And Sadie again spent the morning sleeping in the stroller!
