Gingerbread Houses

Growing up, my family had a tradition of making gingerbread houses. Brooke and I thought we'd pass on the tradition to the kids this Christmas! When we were little, my mom would bake all the pieces of the house, but we figured we'd do that when the kids get a little older. Instead we bought one of those pre-made, just put together and decorate kits. We put them together while Case was napping, so here's some pictures of Macey as she very seriously supervised Matt while he put the houses together!
Then we helped Case and Macey decorate. They did great! We gave them a little bowl and put some M&M's in it and told them they could only eat the candy in the bowl, the rest was for decorating. That worked great for a little while but then Case started putting the candy for decorating into the M&M bowl and then eating it. Too smart!

It was fun to continue this tradition with the kids and Case and Matt really enjoyed eating the candy off the houses over the next couple days!
