Keeping Busy!

We've been having a lot of fun being a little family of five! My mom came for the first week and was a HUGE help to Matt and I. She cooked, cleaned, helped with the big kids, but of course got lots of snuggles in with Lincoln!

I love this one where Lincoln is "smiling"...

Matt's parents are coming in this weekend, but Cornie got to stop by for a few hours to meet Lincoln since he was traveling thru town!

We also live close to one of Matt's cousins, Clark. He stopped by for a visit on Sunday and was a big hit because he brought presents for all the kids!

Unfortunately, we haven't had the best weather. We had a couple beautiful days where we went to the park and played outside which was great! I don't have the guts to go anywhere in public with all three kids yet, but walking to the park works out great. It's Case's spring break this week so he is home all week and the weather is pretty crummy. So here's what we've been up to...

We have played a ton of legos! Case built a tower as tall as he is, and the small tower is for Lincoln :)

Lincoln has now officially met Bumblebee and Optimus Prime!

 Case "playing" with Lincoln

And the most common thing you will see in my house these days...

The kids just LOVE getting their blankets and pillows and snuggling with Lincoln. If I set him down on a blanket, some sort of pillow/blanket snuggling is sure to follow!

Another favorite pastime has been to play "spooky monster" which means putting a blanket over their heads and chasing each other around. I got this great pic of Sadie's hair after they played this game.

And then Case wanted me to take a picture of his "crazy hair" :)

We'll end with two shots of  Lincoln being more alert! We just love this little guy!

hospital and first week

Here are a couple pictures of Lincoln on our last day in the hospital.

Here he is in his "take home outfit", he looks like such a little man, and this is one of the first good pictures I got with his eyes open!

This blanket was made for my grandmother when she was born and all of her children, me and my siblings, my kids and my sisters kids have been brought home from the hospital in it!

Case could not have been more excited to have Lincoln home!

And Sadie was so excited to snuggle him as much as she could!

Case has been waiting a REALLY long time to give Lincoln his sleeping bag (Case had two of them, so for the longest time has said, this one is for my baby brother!)

They really couldn't get enough of him that first day, and not much has changed since!

A friend from church made Lincoln this adoreable blanket!

A couple more cute ones of Lincoln!

and one of each of the other kids cause they are just so much fun!

Look-a-like!

We have had a lot of people say that Lincoln looks like Sadie and we have had a lot of people say that he looks like Case. When I saw this picture of Lincoln, it instantly reminded me of a picture we had taken of Case in the hospital and how much the pictures looked alike...
Lincoln just a couple of hours old

Countdown!!

We are just hours away from meeting our little boy tomorrow! I don't post a ton of belly pictures, but I like to take a picture the night before we head into the hospital. It's just fun to see! So here I am with our baby boy! Can't wait to meet him tomorrow!

The night before we had Sadie...

And the night before we had Case...

Snow Days and Sick Days

We had the "perfect" two weeks planned before the baby comes. A couple of play dates, preschool, a friend was going to take my kids so I could get a few things done... and then we got hit with the flu and 2 snowstorms! Luckily right before we got sick, we were able to have a fun play date with Case's buddy Jackson. We met Jackson, his mom and his little brother at a huge gym/play area where the kids ran around and had a blast! Then Jackson came over for lunch and to play for a couple of hours. Here's the kids all snuggled up watching a little show. Case loves to pull out his sleeping bags when his friends come over to play "camping".

The next day we got a really big snow storm. In my opinion it's our first REAL snow fall since we've been here, and it was BEAUTIFUL!! It was just that perfect fluffly snow that winter dreams are made of! I think we ended up with somewhere around 10 inches.

Case had a BLAST "helping" Matt shovel the driveway.

Apparently bored of the driveway, he took it upon himself to shovel the yard!

tuckered out...

Making snow angels or taking a break, I'm not sure...

We were expecting Case to sleep great that night after all of his hard work. But instead he was up all night throwing up, poor buddy! He ended up being sick for 5 days with a bad fever and vomiting. So all of our fun play dates had to be cancelled and we hunkered down. Then... when he finally got better, we got another snow storm!
Case was so excited to help Matt shovel again and this time they got to make a snowman! It's his first real snowman he made. Today, when I dropped him off at preschool he ran up to his teacher and was so so so excited to tell her, "My daddy and I made a snowman!!". It was so sweet!
